About Me

¡Bienvenidos!

Welcome to my "super" blog!

For my first 5 years of teaching, I was a classroom teacher in a dual language program. I taught 2 years of 1st grade dual and then made the switch to 2nd grade dual where I stayed for 3 more years.

Last school year, I embarked on a new journey as a Dual Language/ELL coach in my building. Each week I worked to collaborate, model, co-teach, plan, you name it with our amazing Dual/ELL staff members. I learned so much from all of them in being in this unique role, and shared much of what I learned and resources that I created for teachers here on my blog with you all (check out the 13/14 school year posts).

This school year, I am embarking on another new journey as my husband and I moved to a whole new place, state, and school over the summer! I will now be heading back in to the classroom as a 3rd grade Spanish immersion teacher. Whole new adventures ---> straight ahead! I'd love for you to follow along and share your ideas!

  4. Hi Krista,

I apologize for posting such a lengthy comment on your blog, but I have been unable to find a contact form or e-mail address on your blogs.

I stumbled across your blog while looking for resources for some presentations I am giving on scaffolding in a few weeks. I spent a significant amount of time exploring it, and was SO impressed by the incredible amount of work that you have put into developing creative, high quality activities and materials for your students. I wish every child I knew had you for a teacher! I also appreciate the extensive amount of time you have clearly invested in sharing your ideas and materials with colleagues. Your blog is a fantastic resource and incredibly professional!

I would like to request your permission to use a few of the images from your blog for some presentations I will be giving soon. Would you please contact me privately to discuss this?

    Cordially,
